Accommodation Offer

Come and stay in the shadow of Slemish Mountain where St Patrick is reputed to have lived when he was kidnapped from his home in Wales where he was so taken with the people he returned of his own volition to spread Christianity.

A lot has changed since those times but Slemish is still there and the people are still as friendly.

Slemish Barn is a bit different. We offer budget accommodation but anyone looking at our reviews on Booking.com or AirBnb will see that we offer a quality experience that gives a bit more than just a bed for the night.

We offer both private rooms and dormitory style accommodation and are offering special deals on our private rooms in April, May and June. Although we are a hostel, all guests booking private rooms do not share sleeping spaces with other guests

“Staff was so friendly. I got a flu and the owner took care of me and gave me tea. Never met such friendly people. The room was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was clean too and there's everthing you need for cooking. The breakfast include cereal and bread with marmalade. 🙂 The location is good to find with google maps. But if you come with the bus, just check the bus timetable, 'cause the bus doesn't drive that much. The property is near the giants causeway. I went there with the bus and the train. It was gorgeous! Thank you very much. If I go to north ireland again, I will stay here again. ”

“Awesome hostel..very homey and comfortable. If you like out of the way places with many walking and hiking trails this is the place for you. It is a clean and the owners are so helpful and accommodating. However, a car is needed to travel to this hostel, a bus does arrive from Ballymena 3 or 4 times a day but not on the weekends. There is a large kitchen to cook and a free breakfast consisting of toast and cereal ,milk is provided. The common area is so cozy, fireplace included. I highly recommend this hostel for singles and families”
“Really nice hostel with great facilities. Lovely common areas and super kitchen. Bunk beds were good and comfy and family room (for four) was en suite toilet and shower. Very helpful and friendly owner."
